Welcome to PBC YOUTH Ministry!
The Youth Ministry helps children grow and develop into spiritual teens, young adults, and ultimately spiritual men/women of God, who will make a lasting impact for the Kingdom of Christ. Through the various children’s ministries here at PBC, we believe that a firm spiritual foundation can be made that will anchor our children forever. PBC Gospel-centered discipleship: Teach biblical truth, nurture faith, and equip youth to read Scripture, pray, and apply the gospel to life.
- Spiritual formation and identity: Help teens grow in Christlike character, moral wisdom, and an identity rooted in Jesus rather than culture.
- Community and belonging: Create safe, authentic relationships through small groups, mentorship, retreats, and peer discipleship so youth feel known and accountable.
- Worship and spiritual practices: Introduce regular worship, prayer, Bible study, service, and spiritual disciplines appropriate to teenagers.
- Leadership development: Identify, train, and release young leaders to serve in church and mission contexts (student-led teams, service roles, mission trips).
- Outreach and evangelism: Equip teens to share the gospel, engage their schools and neighborhoods, and participate in community service.
- Family partnership: Support and resource parents as primary faith disciplers, coordinating with families through training and communication.
- Life-skills and transition support: Provide guidance for identity, vocation, relationships, sexual ethics, mental health, and transitions (middle school → high school → adulthood).
- Safe, healthy environments: Maintain safeguarding policies, trained volunteers, and emotional/physical safety for participants.
Biblical basis often cited: Deuteronomy 6:4–7; Matthew 28:18–20; Proverbs 22:6; 1 Timothy 4:12. Desired outcomes: committed personal faith, service participation, spiritual maturity markers (regular Bible/prayer life), healthy Christian relationships, and prepared transition into adult church life.
Heaven makes space for every child and so do we.
For some kids, we have the joy of working a little harder to make sure they are welcomed.
We believe our church is richer for these little ones and we seek to partner with Gods’ dreams and purposes for them. For more information and to notify us that your child will be joining us, please email: office@progressivebaptistchurch.com
